Forecast for this morning:
Snow between 3 AM and 8 AM, accumulation of around an inch, a little more to the south.
I sit here on the northern side of Columbus at 1PM and it’s still snowing like mad. There was already 2″ when I left the house at 7:30 AM, looks like almost 4″ now.
Heh.

Ours got it right this morning. 7 below zero with 25 mph winds. Schools and business are closed or delayed due to extreme cold.
Expected high today is 6.
If an electrical engineer miscalculates by 4X, you could be getting 480 volts from your wall outlet. Or 30 volts… No matter, it all averages out, right?
In fairness to the weather folks, electrical engineering follows known laws of physics.
Meteorology follows no known laws of anything except maybe Murphy’s Law.
Then again, they should stop calling it a science and reclassify it as an art form.
We’re just chill’n in T Oklahoma. I hear we have some stuff on the way. I want the kids to go to school so I can chill at home alone. Is that so wrong?
I guess no one wants to know that it was 68 when I left the house this morning at 6:15 am….
that is why I live in S. Texas!

No, we’re not interested in hearing that. 😀
It was 5 degrees when I sent my daughter to the bus this morning.
They’re forecasting the same deal again starting this evening, this time with ice added in for fun. 1-2 inches of ice, starting at 7PM, more to the south. We’ll see how that goes.
-15 here last night. We haven’t had any school days off from cold and it’s been in the -teens several times for the morning.
We have had several school days off for snow. I think we’ve had in the 90″ of snow range this year which I think is a record. I love the snow and it sure is pretty but the cold is getting to my old body. I’m starting to lust after Spring. I look at pictures with grass in them and I can’t take my eyes of it. Is that sin?
tsk, tsk… I’m telling y’all – I can set you up in San Antonio! Hubby’s a realtor. I work for a very large company, who’s corporate offices are here. It’s lovely in winter. Of course, it’s 100 degrees part of the summer (but with ‘global warming’ – you may be getting that soon anyway!)

100 degrees? Heck, we hit that a day or three each year. It’s 90+ for a few weeks in late Jule-August, with high humidity.
Yep, we got it all – snow, ice, tornadoes, heat, cold. If you want weather, any weather, we’ve got it. Except hurricanes, none of those.
but do you have killer bees scorpions and fire ants?
btw – we don’t technically have hurricanes – we just get the flooding after they make it inland
oh, did I mention no state taxes? no garnisment of wages for consumer debt? the Alamo? the Spurs?
Nope, you’ve got us there. 😛 We do have the Emerald Ash Borer which is eating our ash trees. But the state of Ohio, in an extremely clever move, is cutting them down before the beetles can kill them,
We sometimes get drenched too if it’s a particularly big hurricane.
No state taxes! OK, maybe you’ve got something there …
