It&#8217;s harder as time goes on.<br \/>\nWe have got to be there, engaged.<br \/>\nBe the ones that your kid&#8217;s friends can talk to.<br \/>\n&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;-<br \/>\n&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;-<br \/>\nTrying but tested<br \/>\n&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;-<br \/>\n&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;-<br \/>\nLuke 2:41-45<br \/>\nWalter<br \/>\n&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;-<br \/>\nThe didn&#8217;t know where he was for a whole day!<br \/>\nWe&#8217;re in the game, but we&#8217;re missing some of the signs.<br \/>\nThis where we help each other out.  &#8220;By the way, brother, I noticed this.&#8221;<br \/>\nIt does take a village (not to quote a pres candidate \ud83d\ude00 ).<br \/>\n(how towns in the west started)<br \/>\nKim<br \/>\n&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;-<br \/>\nI&#8217;m convinced that parents are some of the most insecure Christians.  More so as they get older.<br \/>\nYour doing your best and someone points something out and it&#8217;s hard not to react.<br \/>\nPray that God would show you what you need.<br \/>\nCheck up on your kids &#8220;It&#8217;s not you I don&#8217;t trust, it&#8217;s Satan.<br \/>\n&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;-<br \/>\n&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;-<br \/>\n6 battle grounds<br \/>\n&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;-<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Worldliness\n<ul>\n<li>academic performance<\/li>\n<li>athletic success<\/li>\n<li>possessions, appearance &#038; style<\/li>\n<li>teach them how to give and serve.  Hang out with those who don&#8217;t have as much.<\/li>\n<li>what are you tempted with &#038; what your kids are<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Unspiritual\n<ul>\n<li>apologize when we need to.<\/li>\n<li>were sinful and they will be too for their whole life<\/li>\n<li>they see how you play the game<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>marriage problems\n<ul>\n<li>fighting, hateful or the cold war<\/li>\n<li>kids are smarter than you think<\/li>\n<li>don&#8217;t bury things for the sake of peace<\/li>\n<li>test &#8211; do you want them to have a marriage like yours<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>weak family life\n<ul>meals together<\/li>\n<li>devotionals<\/li>\n<li>time together, consistency<\/li>\n<li>pray with them every night, it sticks with them<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li> shaping behavior instead of molding hearts\n<ul>\n<li>task master, doing it right<\/li>\n<li>if it&#8217;s all about doing it right for mom or dad we&#8217;ve missed something<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>dealing with unresolved issues\n<ul>\n<li>eph 4:26, 29<\/li>\n<li>kids that have heard nothing but neg stuff about church their whole life.  Do it in private.  I does so much damage.  Build others up.  They end up so critical.
