On the radio on the way home was Switchfoot&#8217;s Meant to Live:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\n<i>Fumbling his confidence<br \/>\nAnd wond&#8217;ring why the world has passed him by<br \/>\nHoping that he&#8217;s meant for more than arguments<br \/>\nAnd failed attempts to fly, fly<br \/>\nWe were meant to live for so much more<br \/>\nHave we lost ourselves?<br \/>\nSomewhere we live inside<br \/>\nSomewhere we live inside <\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><\/i><br \/>\nFrankly, I wasn&#8217;t necessarily imnpressed with the song, but the theme moved me.  I suddenly wanted to live again.  I&#8217;m tired of this deep longing I&#8217;ve felt, concern for my church.  Not that there shouldn&#8217;t be concern, but I just want to feel the joy of my salvation again like it was brand new.  There&#8217;s enough suffering to worry about and time to worry about it.  It&#8217;s time for me to just plain relish the life that God has granted me.  Life to the full, not partial or empty, but full.  There&#8217;s much to rejoice about and It&#8217;s time that I started again.<br \/>\nA song or two later came <a href=\"http:\/\/five-for-fighting.lyrics-songs.com\/lyrics\/82180\/\">100 years<\/a> by 5 for Fighting (what kind of band name is that?):<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\n<i>I&#8217;m 15 for a moment<br \/>\nCaught in between 10 and 20<br \/>\nAnd I&#8217;m just dreaming<br \/>\nCounting the ways to where you are<br \/>\nI&#8217;m 22 for a moment<br \/>\nShe feels better than ever<br \/>\nAnd we&#8217;re on fire<br \/>\nMaking our way back from Mars<br \/>\n15 there&#8217;s still time for you<br \/>\nTime to buy and time to lose<br \/>\n15, there&#8217;s never a wish better than this<br \/>\nWhen you only got 100 years to live<br \/>\nI&#8217;m 33 for a moment<br \/>\nStill the man, but you see I&#8217;m a they<br \/>\nA kid on the way<br \/>\nA family on my mind<br \/>\nI&#8217;m 45 for a moment<br \/>\nThe sea is high<br \/>\nAnd I&#8217;m heading into a crisis<br \/>\nChasing the years of my life<br \/>\n15 there&#8217;s still time for you<br \/>\nTime to buy, Time to lose yourself<br \/>\nWithin a morning star<br \/>\n15 I&#8217;m all right with you<br \/>\n15, there&#8217;s never a wish better than this<br \/>\nWhen you only got 100 years to live<br \/>\nHalf time goes by<br \/>\nSuddenly you&#8217;re wise<br \/>\nAnother blink of an eye<br \/>\n67 is gone<br \/>\nThe sun is getting high<br \/>\nWe&#8217;re moving on&#8230;<br \/>\nI&#8217;m 99 for a moment<br \/>\nDying for just another moment<br \/>\nAnd I&#8217;m just dreaming<br \/>\nCounting the ways to where you are<br \/>\n15 there&#8217;s still time for you<br \/>\n22 I feel her too<br \/>\n33 you&#8217;re on your way<br \/>\nEvery day&#8217;s a new day&#8230;<br \/>\n15 there&#8217;s still time for you<br \/>\nTime to buy and time to choose<br \/>\nHey 15, there&#8217;s never a wish better than this<br \/>\nWhen you only got 100 years to live<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><\/i><br \/>\nIt was one of those moments where the stars align, or at least the songs on the radio, and suddenly things are in perpective.  Life is short, too short to spend it frowning and serious.  There are three goofy, fun loving little girls in my life, an awsome woman whom I don&#8217;t deserve to even talk with let alone sleep in the same bed with and a host of friends, good friends.  My God has been good to me.  What&#8217;s to be sad about?<br \/>\nI know the morning will dilute those feelings and the realities of life will set in, but I hope I can stay at least a little closer to that new perspective on things.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I was on the way home tonight fom my Singing Buckeyes rehersal, so I was in a musical mood.
